did you take these before you left on your mission? i seem to remember seeing them. you're such an artist, tricia, and i love looking at your pictures. happy you have a blog now! i have one too but it's private so if you want to see it just send me your email on facebook or something.

Introduction

I'm just here to express myself. Everyone has a desire, or rather--a need, to express who they are as an individual. My problem is- I feel I've lost touch with myself. I often feel as a stranger in my own skin--a foreigner in my own life. The moments when I feel like I most belong to myself are when I'm singing, listening to music, looking at or creating art, reading and writing, etc. You get the point--I'm into the fine arts. My heart shrivels without it and swells to the point of bursting when I delve into words, music, and sights that are beautiful.
I rather like this idea of sending out expressions of myself "into the void" of that great virtual world. So if anyone reads or looks at my page, I hope you enjoy it. I would be privileged if something I say or do can affect another's life for the better. I hope one day I can do that on a grander scale, but I think this is the right beginning for myself. Here's to self discovery, or rather self-creation. After all, one of my favorite mugs says, "Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."
